It’s been a lonely, lonely, long long time

In the words of the gorgeous Mr Robert Plant, it has been a lonely lonely long lime time…not since Rock and roll, but since i did a blog…no excuse really apart from I can’t believe how fast time seems to be moving at the moment, and now we are here sitting in the 80 degree heat on the 2nd October, odd but sweet.

So what I have I been doing since the last time I was on here…well, I have been making a load of stuff, presents for friends babies, bunting mainly, and no photo’s as hastily posted them off without snapping first, but all greatly appreciated by the recipients.

I made a cushion this morning for my lovely friend Carmen, we are going for dinner in a few weeks and rather than take the standard wine, flowers or chocolates I had this little skull knocking around looking a bit sad, i’d embroidered it ages ago and then didn’t know what to do with it, so I knew Carmen would love it, so popped it onto the fabric and to be fair I am quite chuffed with it.

The little felt hearts are now the bain of my life.  These little bad boys were my best seller at the Handmade Christmas in Bearwood fair we held last year, I make them into a string of bunting, and they went like hot cakes, I had another 7 commissions on top of what I already had made, so I am determined this year to prevent me sewing hearts until the 21st December this year by being super organised, I have made enough for 12 sets that’s 128 individual hearts, I seriously can’t do anymore.  My pickling frenzy starts this week so my house will stink of onions, I love doing them though, little individual bites of loveliness.

I have to dash now, as Jen has cleverly organised a pincic in the woods for all of the Crafty Muthas and their offsprings, we are having a meeting about our two Christmas fairs this year, we have dates, 19th November and 3rd December, but that’s about all we have planned as whenever we meet at one of our houses it generally turns into a winefest and 3 hours of talk about boys and shopping, and never enough business chatter.  So Jen being super sensible has got us to meet during the day, with kids, in the park so we can’t go off piste…mind you I am packing Cider…

 Love Nat
