Bearwood Handmade is Tomorrow…

so as you’re opening up the 3rd window on your advent calender, our 22 stall holders will be dressing their tables, putting out stock and preparing for another fabulous day at Bearwood Handmade.  We’ve been spotlighting stall holders all week and today we’d like to introduce you to the lovely work of Maria Wigley.

Bearwood Handmade is Tomorrow...

Maria transfers images onto fabric and using stitch, reworks and revives the old, adding a sense of permanency, breathing new life into something redundant or neglected. They really are gorgeous and totally unique. Maria is a Bearwood Tapestry regular and has also created a range of laser cut jewellery using wood and thread which we are loving.

Maria is one of the many new faces with a stall at Bearwood Handmade this weekend. But some things never change. Our own Crafty Mutha Rachel will be there, front and central, to wow you with her delicious cakes and sweet treats.

Bearwood Handmade is Tomorrow...

She’s beavering away in her kitchen (which smells divine and so like Christmas) as we write.

Saturday is fast approaching and we’ll all be a little sad when we close the doors at 4pm for the last Bearwood Handmade fair of the year. BUT, before that we’ve got a whole day to enjoy, with the lovely people of Bearwood and beyond. This fair is packed full of talented artisans and their gorgeous makes so please tell your friends, invite your neighbours, bring your granny and help us make December 3rd a really successful day for everybody. We’ll be back tomorrow with more sneaky peeks but first let us introduce….

Laura of ILOVEKITSCH who makes handmade jewellery with, surprise surprise, a kitsch vibe. It proved very popular with our Springtime customers so we’re more than happy to welcome Laura back to Bearwood.

Bearwood Tapestry regulars Hayley and Vicki are having a stall with us for the first time. They’ve been making hand knitted items with a sense of fun (as you can tell from that cheeky reindeer) including tree decorations, hats, scarves and bags. It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas.
